(psst…be sure to scroll all the way down to the bottom of this post to sign up for my FREE to-do list making workshop and get a jump start on piece #3)
In our first episode we talked about rediscovering our big ideas (If you missed piece #1, click here to check it out). And I got some great feedback that the exercise got you thinking about those big ideas you have been percolating around in the back of your head.
But I also heard a big frustration.
You told me, “this is great, but I don’t have time.”
So, jump on into today’s video and learn my tips for Finding More Time. If you want to skip the video and read up instead, just scroll beneath the video.
Need More Time?
Well, lets find some. How about 60 hours? Could you make some headway on your dreams in 60 hours?
I recently did the math and did you know if you dedicate just 10 minutes a day to your project, you can put 60 hours in by this time next year.
So, we need to find 10 min a day in your schedule.
First, lets think about things you can cut out of your day.
Can you give up 10 minutes of Facebook or TV time a day or cut down the number of weekly trips to the grocery store? That one alone could save you an hour or more a week.
Is there something you can delegate to someone else like watering the garden or order your groceries or household supplies online?
Today’s exercise is to create one system for freeing up 10 minutes a day.
Download today’s worksheet and start by brainstorming a list of tasks that you repeat on a daily or weekly basis like, getting gas, grocery shopping, house hold chores, or getting the kids ready for school.
Then see if there is anything on that list you can either eliminate all together, or at least eliminate or delegate some of the steps.
- One friend buys one prepared meal from the grocery store on the day she does her weekly shopping trip, that gives her one night off per week from cooking and left overs for lunch the next day freeing up some precious time.
- I routinely get gas immediately after dropping my son of at school every Friday. This way I never find myself rushing to get gas at another time during the week.
So get started, and head over to my Facebook page and let me know what you decided to streamline in your life and find that 10 minutes to pursue your goals.
