You have an idea for a great product or the perfect program, and you can’t wait to get it out in the world.
But first you have to do a little more research . . . perfect your sales page . . . learn more about pricing . . . finish creating every piece of your program . . .
You’ll do it when the kids go back to school. You’ll start after a little more feedback. You’ll be ready soon . . .
Let me in on a secret: You’re ready now.
There will never be a perfect time. You’ll never know everything you need to know. There will never be a moment when you have all the answers.
Stop letting the fear that you aren’t ready get in the way.
It’s time to leap. You’re ready to launch. (Yes, even if you think you aren’t ready. Go for it.)
How do I know?
I’ve worked with other women who didn’t realize they were ready. And maybe more importantly, I’ve taken that leap. I’ll be honest, it’s scary to put yourself out there. What if nobody buys? What if I mess up? What if it’s not good enough?
I’ve had all these fears too.
And sometimes things don’t go quite as planned, but you don’t get better with out going through a crazy-making phase.
When your Internet goes out during your webinar or one of your suppliers goes MIA right before you are supposed to ship, you take a deep breath and problem-solve. You send an apology email with a recording of your webinar and hold FB office hours for questions. You scramble and find a new supplier—maybe better than the first. You delay shipping but add a bonus. Most people will understand. The others you let go.
The number one thing I’ve learned about launching? You can’t think your way into a clear answer. You have to leap.
Done is better than perfect. Sure it can alway be better, but that’s what v.2 is for. And do you know how you improve? From the feedback you get and what you learn from round 1, so put it out there.
Check out how a few Mama CEOs took the leap in their business!
Case Study: Tricia Frank and Joyfully Boxed
This past summer Megan helped me focus ideas that had been just out of reach. She had me thinking bigger than I ever had before and she gave me the confidence to dream big. During our last session a brand new business was born.
Five weeks later, Joyfully Boxed launched. I took my idea and went for it—before I could get scared. Megan guided and supported me every step of the way. Joyfully Boxed offers subscription boxes of handcrafted items and has currently grossed almost $9,000 in 3 months. None of this would have been possible without Megan and the Mama Mastermind group.
I joined Mama Mastermind group, because I couldn’t get enough of Megan! She is so good at keeping you on task, working out plans, and sharing her knowledge of how businesses work. She shares all of her resources so freely and openly. It is clear that your success and sense of fulfillment is so important to her.
I’m not sure I would ever have listened to the voice in my head telling me to try something new, something scary, if it hadn’t been for Megan. If you have a business or an idea that could use some guidance (and a little nudge past the fear), invest in yourself and your business. Megan and Mama Mastermind are so worth it.
Case Study: Karen Taggart
Until recently, I had no idea how much fear was holding me back! Thankfully, working with Megan and the wonderful group of ladies in the Mama Mastermind helped me realize this (which is the first step, right?) and to work through it.
Last fall I launched my legal Template Shoppe. My plan was to create each template, record the video, upload it to the site, and then when they were ALL done I would market them.
When Megan recommended that I take down all of my “coming soon” banners and just put it out there, I had one of those smack myself in the forehead moments.
She said to offer them all now and create them after they sell! Of course, I had to clearly state that some of the templates are pre-orders, but it hasn’t been an issue at all. My clients rarely need their contract immediately, and if they do I can get it done.
I felt such a huge sense of relief and clarity after that chat with Megan! And I do every time we talk. She always has amazing ideas that help me TAKE ACTION.
Once I let go of needing to write 14 contracts and record 14 videos, I could shift my focus to marketing and promoting what I have to offer. Since then, I’ve sold many templates and keep building my list and the number of people who know about my products and services. My overall plan for 2016 is visibility, “surround sound”, fame in my niche . . . basically I want to become the go-to expert for your online business legal needs. And Megan has played a HUGE part in moving me further in that direction!
Tricia could have spent more time thinking about her business, but instead, she went for it! Karen would still be creating templates and recording videos if she hadn’t decided to leap.

SO true!
I have had this realization myself–I will NEVER be totally ready!
Thanks for sharing these two case studies Megan. I LOVE Tricia’s artwork, and I think I’ll need Karen’s services!
