Do Less Better is my mantra. I think it is THE Mama CEO Mantra. It sounds good, but what does it mean? It means that instead of trying to do All.The.Things, we focus on the right things and do that better.

So how do you decide what to do?

1. Focus on results

Always, always start with the specific results that you want for you business. Know why you are deciding to start a podcast or doing Facebook lives or figuring out Facebook ads.

2. Know your customer lifecycle—and then narrow it down.

Know how people find you, interact with you, connect with you, hire you, and then rehire or refer you. Look at your customer lifecycle. Instead of trying every way you can think of to help people find you, choose 1. Instead of trying to interact on a dozen platforms, choose 1—and do it better.

3. Pick the best ways you sell and test, test, test

Which right thing do you do? Don’t try something once and then scrap it or move on. Pick one path to focus on. Test it (and test it and test it). Then use the data from your testing.

4. Double down on what is working

We spend a lot of time looking at what we could do or think we should do for our business, but not enough time looking at what’s actually working. Look at what’s working and double down on that. If you are great at converting on sales calls, don’t spend a lot of time and money creating an amazing sales page, work on getting on the phone with clients.
